We arrived in Quirindi on Tuesday where Tony’s sister lives – we head into Tamworth each day for our entertainment.
The rodeo on Wednesday night was fabulous. The venue was so different from our rodeo in Boddington. This was in a state of the art indoor equestrian centre with allocated seating. The only down side of the venue was the lighting – our camera just didn’t like it.
Entertainment is in every pub, club and shopping centre from early morning til late at night. There are buskers literally everywhere – many shop fronts have a singer or two in front of it. There are kids and oldies all busking and most of them sound great. Would have taken lots of organisation to get this all running so smoothly.
McAllister Kemp rocked up with a humongous ute and a very up market three wheeled motor cycle. Trevor got a photo on the bike. The ute and the bike got lots of looks. Ute had exhaust pipes on it that had to be 20 cm wide. Some of the numerous bands we have seen and enjoyed are ‘The Pigs’, ‘Murphy’s Pigs’, ‘Hillbilly Goats’ and many more.
Went to see Amos Morris in Concert on Thursday a class act . What a voice! Possibly the next Keith Urban.
This is the stuff Australia is made of – unfortunately most of us in the West don’t get to experience a show like this. Today a few concerts in town on the cards – The Young Star ShowCase and Lee Kernaghan. If you ever get a chance – take it.
